Family Business Expertise and Experience
CEO Roundtable Expertise and Experience
In addition to Transformation Consulting Group, Paul started another
successful consulting company, Family Business Dynamics. In 1986,
Paul was among the early pioneers in the application of family systems
theory to multi-generational family business planning and problem solving
(today’s accepted best practice).
At age 34, Paul became affiliated with The Executive Committee (TEC) an organization
dedicated to helping CEOs make better decisions, achieve better results, and enhance
their lives. TEC is perhaps the oldest CEO Roundtable organization in the country.
Founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1957, TEC has grown to 15,000 members
worldwide. Sister organizations have been launched in 16 countries; the largest, based
in San Diego, changed its name to
Vistage  in 2006. During his career with TEC, Paul
developed and led three roundtable groups, where he served as a personal coach,
counselor and group leader to more than 75 company owners/presidents.
Prior to becoming a business consultant, Paul worked in a variety of clinical settings
as a psychotherapist where he developed specialized expertise working with families
and groups. His extraordinary human relations skills and sensitivities remain in
evidence throughout his consulting work with leaders and their organizations.

Paul earned a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of
Wisconsin-Madison and an M.S.W. from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Clinical Expertise and Experience
For several years Paul was a contributing member of the premier organization for multi-
disciplinary family business professionals, The Family Firm Institute (
FFI). He was also
a founding member of the Midwest Family Business Study Group.  Paul developed a
powerful consulting methodology which helped company owners and their families
balance business, family and personal agendas, while navigating a variety of ownership,
strategic and leadership challenges (see
The Challenges of Family Business). You may
